Pregnancy losses, like miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy, can effect about 1 in 5 couples. When you're going through a loss it can feel like you are the only one who has ever felt this way. This book has a lot of information that is technical in nature. One thing that is really helpful is that the types of losses are broken down: miscarriage, stillbirth, ectopic pregnancy, etc. There is also the best section on religious and non-religious ceremonies for remembering baby.

Preparing for the birth of your baby that has already passed or will pass shortly is the main theme of this book. It deals with a lot of emotions and practicalities of stillbirth and neonatal death.

5. SHARE

6. Trying Again

Ann Douglas writes this heartwarming book after having been there herself. She interviewed hundreds of parents on physical and emotional issues of attempting a pregnancy after a loss. A must read for any one considered a subsequent pregnancy.

This book offers some basic information on why miscarriage happens and how to hopefully prevent it. While no book can offer a magic cure, you can at least cure your conscious.
